Well, all I have for you tonight is a bunch of talk. I wanted to share with you that last night it was the perfect weather for watching movies, it was rainy and stormy. I got a call from a family member asking if I wanted to go to the movies, and of course I wouldn't turn that down for anything as I needed a night out. So I got picked up, and we went to see
The Dark Knight. Of course when we got there the theatre was packed. We got in, got our snacks and went to sit in the place. The theatre we went to is an old one, it only has one screen in the building, its small. And the seats are more like church pews. Comfortable at that with a little table in front of you for your drinks and popcorn.
So, we watched the Superman cartoon that they show before the movie, snuck in our own soda and waited patiently. I can't tell you how excited I was to see this movie. I had been waiting since I heard about it, before Heath's death. Of course after it broke a box office record I wanted to see it even more. But anyways, the movie came on, I definatly had mixed emotions about the movie. A friend of a friend had nightmares after seeing the movie, insane but it is only a movie. I think Heath did an amazing job portraying the darker version of the joker.
I could see where he tried to mimic things that jack nickelson did himself in the role. He really did awesome. I was really dissapointed in Christian Bales performance as Batman/Bruce Wayne though. When he wasn't talking I thought he was great. I didn't like how they showed two face in it. I remember watching in Batman Forever where two face was burned in the court room by something acid-y. But in the movie, they changed that. It was very dissapointing.
I managed to walk out of the theatre with a smile on my face, the rain and the lightning couldn't take that away. Even the car door getting stuck closed couldn't make me unhappy. I came home soaking wet and knew I had to tell everyone. Course When I got home the storm got worse so I had to get off the computer, understandable. I really want to tell you all my favorite part in the movie but I don't want to ruin it for anyone who wants to see it, or is going to see it. So for now I will keep my mouth shut and say, I think this movie rates my 2nd favorite in the Batman series. My first is the original batman.
Okay now, I know I couldn't let you read all that without giving away something so... please take
two cards from the
dark knight movie poster set. As wall as
an 02 card of choice and a card from each of the letters in
B A T M A N. No more than 3 of the cards from todays update can come from the same set.
If you feel like commenting about my
review by telling me your thoughts on seeing the dark knight (if you want to or if you are, even if you have) and tell me who you think played the best batman, then you can take a card from each of the letters in the word
R E V I E W.
Don't forget to comment.
P.S. Remember Batman has been played by Michael Keaton (twice), Val Kilmer (once), George Clooney (once) and Christian Bale (twice).
